My interest in capturing nature and landscapes began when I took up photography and sketching. Over the years this interest has grown to include sketching people. I always wanted to paint, but never took the initiative to jump in and learn. One day, my wife Emily surprised me with an all in one painting starter kit, figuring this might be a passing interest. Several years later and hundreds of canvases, brushes, and paints later, this hobby has turned into a passion that continues to evolve and develop. I have a keen interest in history and nature and I try to instill in my painting some of that appreciation.
